I finally got the truck to crank and run but having a little problem getting it to idle down below 1200 rpms. Also I had to advance the timing way far ahead so when you hit the gas it doesn't act like it wants to cut off. Its still not completely perfect but was hoping that someone might have a little insight for me. Thanks in advance.

 

Any details about the truck? What engine it has (84 trucks were carb), etc.

 

Neg The 84 at the house is Fuel Injected. Got the truck w/ a blowed motor. Replaced it w/ a motor from my 88 carb. I switched the top of the motors out which included the upper and lower intakes. It has a new tank, pump, filter, battery. Checked the injectors on it and they seem to be working fine. If I can think of anything else I post that up also. Thanks
