Supra Mass air Sensor
According to the mechanic i have a damaged mass air sensor and it will be close to $1000 to replace it. The part alone is almost $800. I've been dong some research online and found some rebuilt supra ones and other aftermarket ones for around $300. Does anyone hav any info on this sensor, any info would be helpful. Thanks

more info
it's a 95 sr5. the plug that goes into the sensor is a little corroded and missing something on the inner 2 plugs. I'm not sure if the sensor itself is messed up. does anyone know if i can remove the rubber plug thing on top of the sensor? can i reseal it if i cut it off?

before you run to the junkyard try this out
i had the exact same thing happen, i replaced it with a junkyard one for 250dollars-- the whole problem was that the Vcc wire was not making contact and this caused the entire sensor to screw up-- take the thing apart and check continuity first ( unless you live in CA, where you MUST throw it away and buy a new one )
