Ok, so I'm pretty sure my old EGR valve is screwed on my 89 3.0L so I'm thinking about getting one from a wrecker.

They want $85 cad for a used one from a 91. Considering a new one is around $300, that seems good, until I buy it and its fubard too. Or goes on me two months down the road. Anyone had experience going the used route?

I've thought about the by-pass option, and am not a fan. So should I just bite the bullet on this one and fork over the cash for the new valve? Any opionons appreciated.
