2nd gen Fuel Filter Placement

Where in the heck is the fuel filter for a 2nd Gen. 4Runner. I have spent some time looking for ti and I can't find it.

That one is for the 3.0, but yours might be down there too.

I'm looking through my Haynes manual.

It says on the 4cyl that the fuel filter is located under the intake manifold and that starter removal may be necessary.

So yeah, it sounds like it will be a PITA to do. Unless you have a problem, you may want to just leave it alone.

That is where it's located, and it will be a pain to remove. I recommend having a mechanic do it. I wouldn't touch the one on my brothers 2.4.
