3VZ-E photos?

Hi all,

I'm in the middle of putting my 92 4runner back together after a head gasket replacement. With full time work and full time school (and the fact that this is my first time doing anything like this), this has turned into a 3-month job so far.

With no digital photo and not enough patience or experience to label things, I'm getting a little nervous now that I've gotten the heads, exhaust manifolds + crossover pipe, camshafts, and valve covers back on... I'm hoping I can remember exactly where all these parts I have left are supposed to go.

I have a pretty good general idea of everything, but I'm sure there are details I'm going to be stumped by in the upcoming few sessions of working on it.

Does anyone know of a good thread or website to find as many detailed pics as possible that might help me identify, locate, and place correctly the stuff I have left to do?

Thanks,
Jason

I just did same thing (except double the time) and took lots of pics and notes, as it was my first time venturing into anything this complex also. If you have any questions about anything in particular, or want some more pix of something, PM me or just post and I'll probably be able to help.

You get stumped on anything, I'd recommend just posting. This board is great, I've posted some pretty dumb things and a lot of patient, helpful people give lots of help.

Yt really is a great place for tons of great info, and helpful people, even through a little friendly ribbing.

Yeah, I've been skulking around the edges of this forum since before I started this hg replacement job, and I've just been amazed at how active the forums here are. Yet another reason to stick with Toyota!

Thanks for the link postings, and benwahballs I'll get in touch with you later if I get stumped.

Jason

Feel free to take a look at my reference photos from the start of my 3.4 conversion project. I took a good amount of pics from different angles, and my '90 truck should be reasonably close to your '92.

Good luck!

i have a stupid quantity of pictures of my 3vze in various stages of teardown. If you need them I can send them to you, but you are talking about 300+ photos.

Im doing my top end rebuild and im into month 7 or 8 right now but it should be running by the end of the next 2 weeks.

EDIT: ooooh I see my thread was linked!! Thanks MT Goat!
