Has anyone changed their shif knob to a T-Handle?
This is a question for Toys with 5 speeds. I used to drag race many years ago and I had a Hurst stick with a T-handle. I thought it was cool and felt really good for power shifts. Although I don't really need to speed shift I'm thinking of changing to a T-handle, either Hurst or B&M just because it looks cool. Has anyone done this? You guys think it's crazy?

B&M T handle
I bought a B&M T-Handle for my first truck back in 98...A dodge Dakota 2wd 4banger...lol...Got rid of it...kept the shifter knob...Got an 86 Toyota truck...the shifter knob went in that....Now it's in my 88 4Runner....I love it...But there's only one thing....lol...For some reason there is a pitch difference between my 86 truck and my 4Runner....Soooo....Now my T-handle shifter knob..is....um....upside down....lol...actually it's not all that bad....It actually feels pretty comfortable...I'll have to take a pic and show you guys...

I had the Hurst T handle in my Datsun wagon. My friend modded a Husrt stick to go on my 5 speed tranny. Felt good and solid, the stick was shortened too. On a few occasions, I would shift into reverse and bang my wife's knee cap..:pat: like getting wacked with a hammer I guess. I put the classic white ball on even if the shift pattern looked wrong. Made my wife happy and it looked very retro kool. hehe, those rocks are kool for the trail look.
