1989 ‘tough tourer’ double cab
Hi guys! Have been lurking this forum a while and just wanted to share my truck. I’ve been building it over the past 2+ years and have been able to camp in some beautifully remote places on two continents. It’s setup with dual batteries, solar, fridge, and a 35 gal tank so I’ve been able to go off-grid for 10 days at a time without supplies. I’ve done too many little things to list, so here are some photos of the old girl.

That is a beautiful truck. Wish we were offered those here in US.

I found his ute, really cool to see I’m not alone! While parts hunting out there I found that most of the cheap ones are getting shipped in pieces to the Middle East. The era of buying clean ones for cheap is starting to shrink. I’ll have to sit down and make up a solid build thread someday!

That truck is way cool!
The four door and solid front axle combination is pretty sweet!
If, one day, you feel the need to donate this truck to the "Old87yota needs more than one cool truck" fund, feel free!

We looked for/at these when we started planning our adventuremobile, sooooo hard to find in the US and the 5ft bed length was a bit limiting but I still would have loved to go this route if we could have found one. Absolutely love your setup @mkcman17 !
If you don't give her to @old87yota and ever consider selling - we'd give her a good home!
