CO - Twin Cone - Sat. June 3.

I'd like to hit the trail this weekend - Sat. June 3. I'm thinking Twin Cone Peak Trail. This is a scenic yet moderate trail with a few sections of obsticales and steep hills and there is a great view from the top at 12,000+ Feet.

Sunday the 4th is an option if more people can go that day but I prefer saturday runs.

Here's my pics from last years run up Twin Cone.

Also heres a Trail report of Twin cone.

Time: 9:00 at the Safeway in Conifer - leave for trail at 9:15

Pack a lunch & Camera!

4x4 taco - It's not a too long of a trail. We should be back in town by about 5:00pm.

Mayhem, I'll be on time. You gonna be an hour early?

I'm still holding out for Saturday. But we'll see how the day goes. I'll make the final decision tonight.

Ok, so Mike Brown, as it ends up can't go with me on Sunday and would like to go on this run on Sat. So go for it. Thanks for considering switching the days John.

I really want to run Spring Creek Sunday early (9:00am start), before the summer crowds get going. Anyones welcome. I'll probably invite some Rising Sun folks as well. Meet at the Burger King at 9am this Sunday.

Have a good run.

FYI, There is a graduation tommorow at Platte Canyon High School. You will almost certainly be coming through ahead of the traffic jam that results from people trying to park, but just in case you're not, be prepared for a bit of a slow down through that area.

I know that the band has to get there around 9, i'm assuming graduation starts at 11. You shouldn't hit any traffic, but be prepared since i don't know the exact times. As far as traffic, might slow you down 5-10 mins. I'm pretty sure you'll miss it.

The boys and I had a great time with this great bunch of folks.

I let Logan, who just finished 1st grade, sit on my lap and steer part of the trail. He thought that was great. I could tell he improved as he did it more.

"CJ" (for Calamity Jane), our french bulldog, spent the whole time with her head out the window. This was her first trip to the mountains and was a hit with her. When we got out, she had fun charging up and down the hills.

Here's a few pictures I took:
