old man emu coilover issue

i dont usually hang out in this section as i never have problems with my 5th gen, but i have an issue with the front passenger coilover i cant figure out maybe someone can help shed some light. these coilovers are about 2 years old with approximately 30k miles on them, give or take a few. have seen some action also. when doing a lookover after some trails yesterday i noticed the top nut was loose. there was about an 1/8 inch gap between the bushing and the washer/nut. also the three nuts that hold the coilover into the bucket were finger loose. the driver side is snug as a bug in a rug. odd. i figured no big deal ill just snug it up. but i cant.. because its bottomed out on the threads and it cant be tightened any more. so now it appears as thought the coil is sagging? thats the only way i can think that there would be slop in the top threads. anyone have some insight?

for anyone thats curious, all signs are pointing towards a blow out bushing under the tophat. going to order a new bushing kit this week and replace both sides, then see how she sits.
