that should make it an '89 model.

My questions are:

1. Where's the external solenoid resistor located on 88 3VZ-E models?
2. Once eliminated from the injector driver circuit, will that allow the use of the high resistance 89-95 injectors?
3. Why would it not work like that?
4. Why wouldn't the 88 22R-E injectors you're testing work in an 88 3VZ-E?

Ok I'm confused is there a difference between a 5/88 and a 8/88 model 3vz-e fuel injector? Mine is a 5/88 and I really have been trying to get a little more umph out of it and this sounds like a good idea. Just want to make sure it works.

check under the hood for the EPA emissions tag. its a sticker that says 'this vehicle conforms tot he emissions standards of the blah-blah year.' that is the number that actually tells you what year your vehicle is. not the door tag.

you have an 88 which uses this injector:
http://www.fuelinjectorwhse.com/injectors.php?id=MP4022
which has these specs:
http://www.witchhunter.com/flowdatapix/d2325065010.jpg
which would be replace by 6 of these injectors that i sell:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=261238752845&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:ITpm me and i can give you a price on 6.

Thank you sir!

That answers the most important question I(among others) have asked(though I didn't ask in such a direct manner). So the 84-87(not 88, or 89-95) 22R-E injectors WILL in fact work in an 88 3VZ-E. So I guess that's all I really needed to know then.

As a token of my gratitude, I'll make sure I buy mine from you.

1988 was a stand-alone year on 22re/3vze injectors. they have the later denso-style wiring plugs and the early low-ohm windings. you can use the earlier 84-87 22re injectors but you have to use wiring harness adaptors to go from EV1-male to denso-female.

So FlameThrower I've seen we're you were gonna donate a total of 10 sets. 5 for 4cly and 5 for 6cly.

Have you already found all 10 candidates? If so are they all from YotaTech? Could you provide us with there names as you did earlier so we can follow there reviews?

Now I know you sell these on eBay. Are you a company that manufactures these or are you a resale company?

How long have you been in this business? Are you running these injectors in your personal vehicle?

Sorry for all the questions. I'm just really curious as to what you have here. Injectors are pretty steep in price at local part stores compared to your bargain price.

actually, there are 13 (3x 1988 22re, 5x 89-95 22re and 5x 89-95 3vze) and i have found 11 of the candidates so far. i will publish when i can get all of that information back from my shipper.
-
i have a facility in denver that all of the injectors are processed at. we use the ASNU injector testing and calibrating system. it can be seen in the injector demonstration videos on my ebay listings.
-
i started servicing and selling fuel injectors in SoCal in 1995. i am running a set of the orange tops in my current 93 4wd.
-
my family has been in the auto parts/scrap metal business for 40+ years. i am able to source fuel injectors for far less than the general public can get them. i have sold about 500 sets of the orange top 22re/3vze injectors and now i am bringing these gray Bosch injectors into the market. i have done extensive research and testing and i am convinced that i have another good product that the members of the Toyota Tribe will enjoy.

and as far as the prices at the auto parts store go, you are being gouged. badly. a good friend of mine owns 3 NAPA stores. dude lives in Aspen, has a 34 foot cigarette boat, a new porsche every 2 years, and a condo in Cabo.
