    They fit fine on my 88. Your 87 should be identical to mine.
    Only problems I had installing them was due to the springs having urethane bushings and my shackles were a bit rusted and wouldn't go in smoothly, and getting the axle rotated properly: they come with shims that rotate the axle / pinion to reduce the drive shaft angle (to compensate for the lift) and since I was doing the install by myself on my sloped driveway, when I lowered and raised the truck, the truck shifted causing the axle to rotate downward. It was a pain in the arse but took me about 3 hours to install by myself.
    Overall, I'm happy with them. Some people complain they are a bit stiff, which actually they are, but I carry 500-600 lbs of equipment in my 4Runner most of the time 'cause I use it for work when the work is close enough to home to drive it there.
    I took the truck from SoCal to Texas and back and they may have settled about 1/4" with about 1000 lbs loaded in the back during that trip.
