Uninstall or System Restore?

Uninstall or System Restore?
I couldn't get good VCD burns out of my new Toshiba DVD/CD burner so tried installing Roxio Easy CD Creator again. It came OEM with the Dell, but when I tried installing Nero 6 Ultra supplied with the Toshiba it said to get rid of Roxio first. Well, I had the mother of all crashes after Roxio install attempt, got into Safe Mode, but there's no uninstaller included with Roxio. So, given the choice between a Control Panel uninstall or a System Restore, which would give a cleaner result? Or both? TIA...

Ive heard Toshibas can be picky
you should be able to uninstall it by going to add remove programs,if it not there you might have to search the file then delete it manually.
For CDs I use Nero
For DVD's I use "Clone DVD" its never given me any trouble burning DVD's.
I use "DVD Shrink" to reduce the size of the file to under 4.5Gb first,Save it it two my hard drive then burn the file with Clone.
