Currently my TIVO is set up through a basic phone line. Is it worth it to have it through my "broadband" internet connection. If I were to use the my broadband connection I would have to buy a router, USB cables, etc.etc. The total cost would be around:

Wireless router 65$
2 USB II cables 50$

What are the advantages?

 

I've toyed with this idea too, the only real advantage I see is that I could get rid of our phone line then, since that's about the only thing we use it for. I think those who hack their Tivo's rely on the USB connection to it as well, if you are looking to do any of that stuff.
