Hey I just bought a Hewlett Packard Desktop a844n. How are they rated in the eyes of the yota community?

3ghz cpu
1gb ddr400
250gb sata drive
dvd-rw/cd-rom
onboard 7.1 audio
integrated intel graphics

well, its not too bad.. gets you the basics, if you want to get into gaming you might want to get a decent video card fx6200 ($120), 6600 ($220), 6800($350) and make sure its PCIexpress, not AGP.

other possible upgrade would be a soundblaster card, nothing beats them.. takes a bit of the load off the comp, and gives you a lil better sound, but only if your a true audiophile.

other then that, seems pretty good.. hope they treat you well with your warranty

hehe, well then you should 'never' have an instance of your computer being slow, if you do, its bound to be spyware/virus related, and just needs a cleaning.. you got a lot of power there
