motion capture/time lapse

ALot of you have some good ideas for software. I've searched high and low for a software package that does motion capture from jpeg stills. I've seem dozens for analoge camcorder video capture programs but I want to set up my digital camera on a timer shoot off a picture a minute then throw them into a program that sets the stills into frames and renders a video.

extreme case.

vegas video. they can a set of images and render them. for example, animation programs usually render a still per 1/30 of a second. since they are named in sequence, you can tell vegas to read in file000.jpg to file999.jpg and insert it into the timeline and each one lasting 1/30 of a second and then render away...

this doesn't seem to be a hot subject but I did find a program that meets my need very well for under 20 bucks
thanks for the tip on vagas I'll have to drum up a copy from the photo college. I'm just not going to spend 600 for what amount to a simple task. If I was doing it for money I'd be all over it. But for just some sunset/ sunrise. and legomation stuff I'm going cheap

the program I found is called bmptoavi. I can take any amount of jpegs at any resolution (My camera does 3200 X 2500) and set them in sequence then render them to any one of 20+ avi formats. SO far just playing with it I've rendered 1500x 1300, about 110% of dvd quality no hicup from the pc rendering it. from there I can stick it in adobe premeir (hacked copy) and do what I need with it. right on
