DSO Exploit

Anyone getting this when they run Spybot Search & Destroy version 1.3?
I did not get it before my format, but I do now.

Spybot reports 5 entries in my Registery, and Spybot kills it, but it is still there when you scan again.

It is a known bug in Spybot, and will be fixed with the next release.

I use for spyware detection:
Spybot Search & Destroy
Ad Aware
Spy Sweeper, a paid program.

The only things any of these progs find on my PC is the occasional tracking cookie, and the DSO thing, which is not really spyware on my PC.

I agree, you need more than just one spyware prog.
I run all three a few times a week.

I just ran ad-aware on my new laptop that "had been" free of that crap since new. I was surfing autotrader.com and got hammered. Ad-aware found 625 things to blow away. That'll teach 'em.
