19" monitor

I am thinking about getting this monitor for our desktop to replace the 15" 8 year old CRT we have now. Should I get it or wait for Black Friday in the hopes of getting something cheaper?

I had that same monitor. It was nice. I got it at walmart for 198. I then sold it and got a HP W2007. The dell you speak of was very good, good deep colors and good sharp picture. For what its worth to you the HP W2007 is much better. The picture is MUCH more crisp looking and the depth of the colors are far better than the dell.

Im not saying the dell was bad in any way. It was a great monitor but I just like the glossy screen better than the matte screen. I think that matte screens affect the picture for the worse, but glossy screens will have glare if you are in line of sunlight through a window or something like that. Im not and I think Ill stick with glossy forever. If your not using it in direct sunlight I reccomend the HP W2007.

BTW the W2007 is a 20 inch wide screen. It comes in a 19 inch version too but the number is W1907
