it depends on the stereo. although toyota utilize a unversal harness, the secondary harness can vary from car to car or stereo to stereo.

I have a 1999 4Runner with the single disk and cassette. Does the Toyota 6 disk CD (from 2000 Camry) fit?
TIA

ok im going to UL some pics of various toyota plugs. No they are not universal, however the standard toyota double molex is the most common...

Here is the conventional toyota double molex, that was described in Elton's first post. This harness is what's in my own vehicle, and probably about 96% of most toys on the road.

Here is the other plug you might see behind your radio and is pretty darn common; it's the green plug coming out of the top of the box with the cooling fins (that's your OEM amp btw and on the bottom of it you'll find the plugs pictured above - hence why I can say they are on 96% of toys...hehe) Basically with this plug you'd need an amplifier integration harness which the part number is MET 708113 and you'd need a deck with 2 sets of RCA outputs too.

worth of not is that both pics above came from the same vehicle - a '95 toyota 4runner with the 3vze. (A complete dog compared to mine but none the less...hehe) So bypassing an amp in most toys is as easy as unplugging 2 plugs and plugging them into your harness!

Back in college I took componets from a 95 4runenr, and 97 taco, mixed them and put them into a buddies 98 tacoma, it was just plug and play.
