Here is a picture of the radio wiring diagram from an '89 pickup.

This is kind of small so let me know if this isn't readable.

do you have a multimeter? if not you can get one at home depot for less than $20. they are good to have around. if you hvae a multimeter you can test the wires and find out which is constant, accessory etc. you can make your own grond anywhere there is solid metal.
