Since thursday Ive noticed my radio keeps changing on its own. It's not on scan and i dont know whats going on with it. It also doesnt change to another station it will only change a few notches like... 96.3 then itll go to 96.5, also it doesnt change to a more clear station. Has anyone else had this problem or know whats up with it. Thanks

Sounds like the factory Bose I had in my 87 IROC. It would just randomly decide "Meh.. I don't like this station you have picked... lesse what else is on.." and just start drifting through the dial...fade into a station.. sorta hold it for a second..then continue its search.

Funny thing was if I whacked the center console or pressed on the face plate ( ) it would snap back to the station I was listening to.

Never did figure out what caused it... a few months later it just up and died on the freeway, so I got rid of it.

 

thanks for the post Phssthpok, mine is the factory bose too. i hope it dies, itll give me a reason to get a new one.
