New stereo!

Hey everybody, I am currently working on my stereo in my 4runner and I got my head unit(Alpine CDA-9831) and my sub in a few days ago. I put in a Kicker solo-baric L5 in the kicker pre-loaded vented enclosure and does this thing ROCK! I have it on a Bazooka P.Miller 800.1. This was the first time that I have ever been pleased with any sub(s) I have bought. I have tried just about every brand that any dealer in my area offers. This is not my first Kicker sub but I should have stuck with them. I am not putting any other brand down, but this is the first time I have ever stopped and thought, that much comes out of just 1! Oh yeah I do have a question. Are the rear door speakers 4" and the fronts 6 1/2"? I hadn't gotten a chance to pull the door panels off. If they are then i'm in luck, I have a 6 1/2" comp. set and a 4" set with a 4 channel amp. Thanks.

if you have a 3rd gen then, yes those are the appropriate sizes.

If you have a local CC near you I suggest you check them out in late Feb - by then we will have Eclipse products. (Im hopeing we will carry the aluminums.....which btw sound amazing)

By CC do you mean Circuit City? If so then yes, that's where I picked up my L5. They were cheaper than any stereo shop in my area. Thanks for the info on the door speakers.

Yuppers, Circuit City. That L5 box is a great box....but I can build one for that sub that will sound better AND be louder. Its all in the tuning

Anyhoo check out the store whenever you get a chance in a few months. Eclipse is going to be ruling the roost over there. They are better than Alpine/pioneer/kicker ever was imo.
