conformation on stock speaker sizes??

hey guys... searched this a couple days ago and just got a bunch of pages about the 5.5" swap...

4" in the front?
4.5" in the rear?
or 4.5" all around?

thanks!

I assume you're asking about the daily mudder in your sig? My 93 x-cab has 4" in the front dash and 5 1/4" under the x-cab windows.

my '91 4Runner had 4T speakers in the front.

4T meaning its a 4" speaker made specifically for Toyotas. If you buy a normal pair of 4" speakers, you will notice they are identical except the normal 4" have four mounting/screw tabs whereas the 4T only has two. you can cut/grind off two tabs diagonally across from each other and it will fit perfectly.

As for the rear my 4Runner had 5T (same story as the 4T, just in a 5" version) that I replaced with 6.5"s, not sure about the truck though.

I haven't had my fronts out in a log time so I'm not sure about them. As for the rears in the truck, they are regular 5 1/4"s for sure.
