I am in the process of building a small system for my 03 Tacoma, currently I am running a Eclipse CD5444 deck, 2 Soundstream MC140 amps, 2D60II amps to power the sub, Audiocontrol EQX, MB Quart component speakers 6 1'2 in the fromt 5 1/4 in the rear. Took a bit of modification to get em and the crossovers in the doors... I fully sound matted the cab, doors, headliner, under carpeting etc.

I am looking to buy a JL 10W3 to round things out.

any additional suggestions or recommendations on a good sub?

the JL should do him good, provided that the box is built properly.

Looks like a good setup. Where do you plan on putting the sub?

 

i am thinking about just placing a removable box behind the drivers seat.
I have the extended cab.

I have seen the stealth boxes that mount between the seats, these seem like a good spot but would make it really tough to fit anyone back there... usually have to sit sideways anyway....
