Need advice on tube size for bumper/cage

Allright guys,

I am getting ready to order the metal to creat my bumpers and roll cage. Here are my questions;
  1. What OD should I use for the main frt & rr bumper tube
  2. What size for the hoop and connections to teh frame
  3. I am buying an existing cage to fit in the front of the 4runner, I want to extend to the rear what sizes should I use.
  4. Now for the EXO cage, not going to go crazy but will be going around the fenders front to rear and maybe a few hoops over the top.
  5. Lastly, I have a rear wrap around "bumper" already. It is a nice one so I will use it to tie into it. I want to make a tire/gas carier, any ideas or suggestions as to how to tie into it????

Thanks for the advice in advance, Tom

Thanks for the info, I was reading that post a little while ago. It is just a drag to hear these kind of things. I will hope for the best outcome possible.

If you bought your rear bumper then the main tube on it and also on the interior cage you buy will most likely be 1.75" tubing. It seems to be the standard for most people. You will see some 1.5" exo's but mostly 1.75

Go with .120 wall DOM if you can afford it or .120 HREW if not.
