Ive been refraining from saying it since yesterday, but since somebody else did, it doesnt look like its getting much better. You were making it sound like they were vertical, and after seeing that, i dont think its going to get where its supposed to be without re-doing the rear frame mounts. Originally Posted by bamachem

I called Alcan and they said at best, the will become vertical, that's were they think they should be and how they made the springs.
If it does not work out, I'll get some springs made by someone else, but there is still so much more work to do I could really care less about the shakle angle at this point.
When it's all done and go back and refine things, we'll worry about it then.
Pics don't show it very accurate, the are improving and al it's had is 1.5 weeks to street driving, no acutal wheeling yet.
If it does not work out. I'll get someone elses YJ springs.

Your ride is just awesome. I love the low, non-monster truck. Low CG, big meats, lockers...

True, a couple good wheeling trips will help out.Originally Posted by sschaefer3

give this thing time on the trails and they'll be fine.

And if it's not, I'll just buy someone elses front YJ springs. Old Man Emu or have Deaver make a set.
The brackets are an exact copy of a Jeep YJ, the arch in the frame is within 1/2" of the YJ's frame arch as well. So the same thing would have happened on a YJ.
No biggie, Any 3" lift SU YJ spring will just bolt right in.

If any of you have looked at a stock YJ lately, Steve's shackles are almost exactly the same angle. I agree, a little flexing and they will be fine.
I'm anxious to wheel with you again. That is, if you are still willing to run the bunny trails.

Jim, we'll see you on the bunny trails. You can drive, I will be spotting.
Ramp it already, eh?
