Front Solid Axle Shock Mounts

I have some 14" travel shocks but only lifted about 5" so these are a bit long for the front. I have been toying with the idea of mounting the shock mount on the back side of the axle. I saw a Zuk running this mod but not sure how it would work out with the suspension travel etc. or if any one has tried this before.

i say give it a shot. tack it all in place and check your clearance for susp travel and turning. let us know. if all else fails you swap shocks with someone else and run them like normal.

Yeah I'm gonna give it a try, like you said worse case I go back to stock location. I'm also going to be running RUF's and my front axle will move forward about 1" so the shock really won't be to badly angled. I'll post pics and updates when/if I go do the mod.

you could probably get it down to the steering stop to make the 14" fit... That's a good 3" further down than stock
