Well figured it's been long enough, might as well make one of these.

Original Stats:
1987 Toyota 4Runner SR5
22RE
Automatic
Cruise and A/C
Gray with Gray interior
Power windows, locks, mirrors, antenna

Bought it with a 3" BL, mix-matched P235s, a "new" black tailgate, cracked sunroof, no passenger side door panel, and a dead battery. After eyeing it up for almost 2 years, I finally got enough scrap money together to bring her home.





First change was a brown and tan interior out of an '85 4runner with an altimeter, new sunroof, a tune up, and new meats

Half way through swapping the interior.


Next was some new sheet metal. New drivers fender, doors, and tailgate. Started the multicoloredness

Next up was getting her one color, took it off road for the first time.

Next was a set of 4.56 V6 thirds, Flowmaster 40 series and some used Rancho's for the rear




Removed the sway bar. Ride, flex, handling made a night and day difference.


Started getting rid of the rear rot...not proud of the way it was done and the amount of bondo...but it looks presentable.

Took the BL and bash bar off, replaced with new Energy Suspension body mounts and Grade 8 hardware.



Bought a set of 305/75/16 Nittos at the Bloomsburg Jamboree, added a Toytech lift (1.5" BJ spacers, AAL in the rear) and went primer gray for a while.




Over summer break, I swapped in a W56A out of a '85 4runner...world of difference! Started averaging 22MPGs
by golly theres a stick where an auto used to be!
