Finding fun, challenging areas for off-road driving isn't easy in Southwest Virginia.

For the next three months it will be even tougher.

The U.S. Forest Service announced Monday that it is temporarily closing the popular Potts Mountain Jeep Trail in Craig County to repair damage caused by drivers who didn't follow the rules.

The outlaws went off the main trail and tore up a fragile area by a small pond. The area is home to the northern bullrush, an endangered plant species....

man, i haven't been up to potts mountain in a long time. too bad it's temporary closed. this was the time i usually went up there for winter camping.
