Aor

AOR

Of all the companies I've delt with via the internet, the only one I've had problems with was AOR.

They take your money upfront- bad plan. I prefer to be billed at the time my products are shipped.

I have the AOR Tube doors- nice product, good fit. I was told when I ordered them that they were behind on production, and that delivery would be 4 to 6 weeks out. The tube doors had just appeared in one of the magazines, and I understood they'd been swamped with orders. No problem. I did have a hard time getting updates on when they might be shipped- I figured they were just to busy to answer the phone. The doors arrived 7 weeks after the order was placed.

My next purchase was a set of 1.5" wheel spacers. I placed the order in late Dec of last year. I was again told they were behind on production, and that it would be 4 to 6 weeks prior to shipment. At the 4 week point, I tried to get an update, but could not reach them via the phone.

I sent e-mails.

I called.

Over and over.

Finally, I reached the shop on the phone and was told they were just getting ready to start production. This was in mid Jan, no big deal- I wanted them prior to the 4Runner Jambo at the Hammers in March.

In mid Feb. I started the phone and e-mail thang again.

I sent e-mails.

I called.

Over and over.

I received assurances they'd ship by the last week of Feb.

They didn't.

I tried called to cancel my order, I e-mailed a cancelation notice to them.

No response.

I was out of options at this point and contacted my VISA card holders service dept. to get a charge reversal started. My card only allows charge reversals for 90 days after the money has been transfered, and I was fast approaching the deadline.

As soon as the charge reversal process started I received a call from AOR asking me not to proceed with the reversal. I gave them until the 17th to ship my spacers- it was the 90th day since the order was placed. They did get them shipped that day- I got them on Wensday- 2 days prior to departing for the Jambo. I had just enough time to mount them and do the fender trimming required

I was very unhappy with their total lack of customer service. I was very unhappy with being billed for products prior to shipment.

I will not buy from AOR again- even tho they have several products I like that are not available from other vendors.

Let me share my experience with them...
