Recovery Anchor

Has anyone seen this new Deadman Ground Anchor? I found these guys on Kickstarter but if you go to http://Deadmanoffroad.com it will take you to kickstarter. This is a multi-purpose ground anchor, tree strap, or rock hugger. If you wheel in areas with sparse anchor points it looks like this single tool is your answer for multiple recovery options. Plus they have cool swag for supporters, which I am now. If you have a winch, it's probably worth a look.

I've had to resort to burying a spare tire in the sand a time or two.

I pulled a skydiver friend out of a ditch once using his parachute. I don't know if he ever jumped with it again, or not.

The breaking strength of 19,600lb seems a bit in the light side to me. Max working load is usually 1/3 of the breaking strength. Good idea but needs heavier material
