downey cable locker kit

Has anyone every used the downey cable locker kit? I've been debating on whether I should go with the downey kit or just wire that sucker up. The only reason I'm considering downey is all of the past electrical problems that I've had with the locker. Any ideas?

The Downey kit has become quite famous for very low quality. Just wire the sucker up.
