EFI problem

Any help is greatly appreciated. Went to start my truck (88 FJ62) cranks but won't start. After some trouble shooting put a jumper wire in B+ and FP. I can feel fuuel running from the filter. After leaving the jumper in for a few minutes I pulled it out and tried to start the truck, it caught for a second then back to cranking w/o starting. The manual says not to start it with the wire in, I did anyway and it started right up. As soon as I pull that jumper wire out it dies. I have checked the main relay and it is good. My mass air flow sensor is less than one year old. What else can I check?
