1991 fj80 front end squeak while driving.

I just bought a 1991 Land Cruiser and when I drive over 10mph the front end squeaks accordingly with the speed of the vehicle. The faster I go the faster the squeak. This weekend im going to replace the shocks and sway bar bushings and when im under the truck I dont know where to look to solve the squeaking. Its solid axles front and rear. It sounds like a rubber on steel squeak. Thanks

Sounds like it's time to do your front axle service. It could be your birfs if they're getting dry, or any number of other things. Check out IH8MUD.com under 80 series tech for info on the service.

Is there a way to just check/fill the hub assembly? the knuckle is not leaking and the diff fluid is full. Is there a spot on the hub assembly to put more moly grease? Is there a plug where the abs sensor is on the newer model axles?

There's a plug on the forward-top part of the knuckle with a square head. You can check the grease there and add if necessary. make sure to use moly grease only in knuckle.

Thanks alot, im going to tear into the truck in the morning and hopefully that is all the queaking sound is. I made sure to get moly grease and a grease gun to inject the grease in the hole with.

I don't think it will be the grease in your knuckles. If so yo will need more than just grease...
