What makes a Tacoma a TRD Pro one
#2
Nice video! One thing I would like to add is that the TRD Pro contains multiple features/functions that are standard in the Pro. Adding all of these features/functions/packages to a TRD Off-Road--because they are extra-cost options on the OR--raises the price of an Off-Road ABOVE the base price of the Pro. This means (of course) that the OR still will NOT have the Pro suspension, wheels or--as you pointed out--the unique Pro features. After figuring this out, deciding to get the Pro was a no brainer. Plus we really wanted a better off-road vehicle than the Tundra we traded in--it wasn't much of an off-roader.

I'm not sure what is meant by "king" or how a "king" is determined. I've never owned or even driven a Tacoma Off-Road. Lots of folks buy the OR--I mean LOTS--and it seems to be hugely popular. OTOH, every TRD Pro built is sold immediately if not pre-ordered. So if the "king" is based on sales numbers only, the OR is obviously more popular as more are made/sold. I think this is primarily a cost issue, as lots of folks want to "build" their own truck, and don't want to pay for the Fox suspension and extras on the Pro. For us, we WANTED all those bells & whistles that came standard on the Pro--including the suspension--and were willing to wait for 2 months until our special-ordered Pro arrived. The Pro was the right vehicle for us, but for sure it's not for everyone.
