2016 Tacoma Water Leak

Hey Guys,
I'm getting water inside on the drivers side. Pulled up my floor mat while cleaning the truck, and there was water collected at the front of the drivers footwell. The truck is parked facing down ~8% grade, so the water collected there, but could have run down from elsewhere. I had just finished washing and waxing the truck, but could't find any sign of water anywhere around the doors, or at the firewall. Anyone else had a leak?

If its still under warranty, I'd make the dealer deal with it. Otherwise, grab the hose and a friend and have them run a heavy water flow over the roof of the truck while you sit inside and watch for the leak.

I'll probably wind up locating it myself. I've seen reports of leaking rear wall cab vents, but this water seems to be held on top of the foot well material. It seems to have a piece of thin plastic sandwiched in the middle, which would explain why the water seemed to be on top of the flooring material. This would indicate entry over the foot well, from the windshield or cowl, where previous gen trucks have leaked. I'm not fond of spending time on dealerships, even for warranty work, especially when they can cause more problems than they fix. The dealer in my area has a pretty poor google rating, and the next closest one is 1.5-2hrs round trip.

There was a vertical seam at the driver side front corner of the firewall that was not caulked properly. Dealer repaired and replaced jute under carpet panel under warranty.
