2016 Double cab Tacoma sub box
Hey,
I spent all weekend massaging a box for a 12” into the space behind the back seats. Took me way longer than it should have so here are some pictures and measurements of the finished box. Hopefully it’ll save you some time
I wasn’t really satisfied with the options on the market to fit a 12” or even a 10” behind the rear seats of my double cab. I wanted to be able to fold the back seats down and leave the plastic backing in tact. I ended up designing a custom box that fits behind the larger passenger side rear seat.
I did cut the cab vent in half to pull it without removing the bed. I did have to cut the support bar slightly to clear the magnet. Optionally I chose to cut the car seat anchors off but could have ‘glassed around them.
