Timing chain clicking

Whats up party people. I have a 95 Pickup 2wd with a 22RE and a manual trans. I changed the timing chain over the weekend gears, guides, tentioner and chain. When I fired it up it sounded good. Until I let my foot off the clutch and I heard a clicking coming from the front of the motor. It sounds like its coming from the tentioner side of the TC. I pushed the clutch back in and the sound went away, then came back when I let it out again. Now it clicks all the time regardles of the clutch being in or out. It speeds up with rpm and slows down when the rpm drops. Thinking I did something wrong I tore the cover off and everything looks good. Nothing is hitting the TC cover or the block. I looked in the valve cover and nothing is hitting there either. The drivers side of the chain looked a little slack. Could that cause the clicking I'm hearing? Any ideas or thoughts?
