Hey guys, been doing some research but not coming up with what I really want to know. My rig is already lifted, but i'm looking to upgrade and have been collecting the pieces. Basically I'm looking to duplicate an SS 1.2 on my own time and budget. I already pciked up a set up LC coils, and have some of the other stuff, extended brake lines, diff drop, etc.

What I'm wanting to know is : you guys already running Landcruiser front coils in the rear of your rig, what length track bars are you running? Are drop brackets preffered?
the Sonoran bar from steve? The new Toytec bar?

Or... If i can get a measurement of a bar length from you guys I'll buy some DOM and two rods ends and make one.
Another option is buying one premade for a JK or TJ J**P as they're super cheap on ebay if the length is right. I know I want to address the bar issue so my truck tracks right, search hasn't been to much help,
everyone jsut running the sonoran bar, gotta be a cheaper way

Hey look up 4crawler.com i got my coil spacer from there an they rec me to get the track bar drop bracket.

 

yea i'm familiar with 4crawler, I have his diff drop kit. I'm not sure a simple bracket will be enough..toytec's drop bracket is good for like 2.5" of lift, i'm at that now...I'll be at 4+ inches with the coils I got to put in next. was hoping maybe some of the guys with higher lifted 3rd gens would chime in.

 

Unless you build your own adjustable bar, just go with Sonoran Steel. Do a search, the drop bracket is ineffective if you're running LC coils. I put together my own rear setup with LC coils and didn't go through Steve, but I am using his bar. It's fully adjustable and if you ever change your setup it is still usable.

 

Yea thats what I figured, I was just wondering the length guys were running, I feel like I could make one cheaper than buying and shipping one. Can anyone measure thier what thier adjustable track bars are set to?

My thought was to chop one end off the factory bar and sleeve it then add an adjustable rod end to adjust or to just buy two rod ends and a stick of tube and make one.

just crawl under your 4runner and measure the stock bar. then add 2 inchs. purchase metal, go buy your link ends, install springs, and then measure for the new bar. i have fj coils with a regular toytec drop.. worked fine. never noticed anything wrong...
