Well, I finally got some time to do the deckplate mod and replace my dreaded K&N FIPK. I figured since I was taking everything apart, I might as well take this opportunity to do a bit of holiday cleaning. Two things come to mind, the MAF and the Throttle Body. Got any other Ideas while I'm in there?
I've done a search and think I now know what to do concerning the MAF. Does anyone have a writeup on cleaning the throttle body though for the 3.4 v6?? I'm a bit fuzzy in this area. Thanx and happy holidays to all...

That was just what I was looking for. The only thing is I think the 3rd Gen used in the writeup is a newer model than mine (96) because my MAF and Intake hose contraption does not look the same as in his pictures. Hmmm, I doubt that makes a difference though right?

 

In that write up - it is suggested that you use STP's cleaning product for the FB and Air Intake. Is this basically the same thing as a contact cleaner (non-residue type) as has been suggested in other posts for cleaning the MAF?? I'm just wondering what I should buy before I proceed.....
