Taco/4Runner seat FRAMES the same?

Taco/4Runner seat FRAMES the same?
Hi, All. First post, first Taco, longtime car guy. Subject is a '96 base Tacoma with buckets.
I know that 3rd gen seats are the popular/easy swap; I'm wondering about the frames in those seats. Looks like 3rd gen foam and covers are cheap; can I just replace the Taco butt foam and butt cover with a 4runner foam and cover?
