I was searching for a previous thread about this swap but couldn't find much useful. I have two 96' trucks, one rolled with an m/t and my good one with an a/t. I have the engines out (both 3.4's) for a swap. I disconnected the ecu's and the engine wiring harness's. I thought I could just swap those over but there is one small wire loom that comes from the dash and goes into the ecu. This loom is causing confusion. I took the dash apart trying to get it out but it goes into its own harness in the dash. Is there any way that I can just rewire this loom to fit my plug? I will spend weeks getting all of the wiring off and reinstalled if I can't. After this I will have everything to convert to an auto (55,000 miles on trans) if some one is interested.

Let me know what you guys think about this situation. I dont really care if the clutch start cancel button works so that is no big deal. I just want it to run and have no issues.

I have found some information on this but not much. I've used the search alot to no avail. I've found something about messing with the backup lights and nuetral safety switch but I'm not so sure that it's that easy. I'm sure all of the ecu plugs will work except for the one that goes behind the dash to the gauges etc. whats in this and how can I convert it to work with my manual ecu?
