Sylvania SilverStar Ultra VS PIAA

Hey, I was thinking about upgrading to Piaa lamps for the head lights and corners (with clear lenses) when I had one of my head lights go out. Instead of driving around with only one light for a week or two, I went out and picked up a set of the SilverStar Ultras. I have to say they are very white and very bright. Makes my corner lamps look brown. Well, does anyone know how they compare to the Piaa lamps? One thing I hate is seeing people with two or three different shades of white on the front of their rigs. So I know I have to upgrade my corner lamps, I know that. And I plan on getting the Piaa lamps from Burtman. But am I going to be unhappy with those still not matching the "whiteness" of my headlights? I just paid almost $50 for the Sylvanias, so I'm not ready to spend another $70 for Piaas.

It is a rule-of-thumb to always replace the bulbs in pairs...it's like replacing only one wiper at a time...

Yes, I know that. I replaced BOTH head lights when I did. What I ment was it bugs me when people have one shade of white for headlights, another for foglights, another for side markers.... so on so on... So the question I had was the Sylvania headlights and the Piaa corners... Will they be close?

Also, are the Piaa headlight bulbs a huge improvement over the Sylvania's that I bought?

Right, I read that. I was speaking more to the increasing number of kids on the forum lately.

As far as your original question, I think it's absolutely nuts to spend that kind of $$ on corner lights.

I bought amber LEDs for $8/pair and while they have a nice amber light they aren't very bright but they don't look bad.

personally, i say don't even worry about trying to match the shades of white, because the odds are against you...like stated above, just check out autozone and get some amber LEDs for the corners...i got my set of amber LEDs for less than $10 at autozone, and each bulb has 4 seperate LEDs on it, and you can even bend them a little bit for better light angles...and most of all, they look great in my clear lenses!
