I got a 98 Prerunner 2.7L 2wd ext cab last night. Runs decent but I don't like automatic.

I found a 96 Taco with 4x4 manual trans and a bad motor.

I am thinking swap the trans from the 96 and make the 98 a 4x4 manual.

Deal or no deal? Any better ideas out there?

 

im sure you can find running gear without having to buy the whole truck..

 

The whole truck is only 1k and has almost new wheels and tires..this ensures
I will have everything I need, from clutch master cylinder to pedal assembly to transmission. I just hope the standard cab truck parts fits the prerunner ext cab body?
