Still have humidity problem
I posted here few month ago about my problem and after many try i'm unable to find the solution.
My truck is a 1991 4runner sr5 22re 4wd.
The truck run very fine. The problem is when i drive and i pass through some water or slush(water and snow mixed together) is begin to hesitate a lot.no more power until it's reach 3000 rpm.same problem when it's rain or very humid outside.
what i try:
-new cap,rotor,wire
-i adjust the tps sensor and for making sure i had try it with a -another used one.
-cleaning throttle body.
-i had put water on the motor, wire, coils, fuse box when it's dark and i did'nt see any "dancing fire"
can wheels throw some water in the fender on parts that can be affected by humidity??
really don't know.
any help will be very very appreciate.
thanks
(sorry for my "strange english")

When my 22re did that it was just the wires. I changed them and it still hesitated. The new wires came with a short. The third set was fine and continues to work. The short is usually at the plug boot, so you can hear it but not see.

My 3VZE had a bad problem with water.
Turned out the insultaion on my O2 Sensor wires was burned through. I put heat shrink on the exposed leads and no more problems.
I found this out by spraying electrical connections with water from an old windex bottle until I found the culprit.

Thanks guy i will try that
.....O2 sensor wire:pat: Why i did'nt think about that ??
I know that my wire are not insulated ,the ex-owner do a crappy job when he changed the o2...so it's logical
i buy new wires 4 weeks ago and i had buy top quality for making sure so i don't think that the problem.
anyway if the o2 wire fix don't work i will try a new set of wires maybe...
Thanks
long live and prosper Yotatech!!!
