Rear upper control arm replacement

I’ve noticed more & more sloppiness in the rear end over the last year. A few years ago I installed new lower links to correct a ‘crabbing’ feeling under hard acceleration, and last year I replaced the original track bar bushings.

Yesterday I put the truck on stands and installed a new set of Toyota upper links. The entire job took an hour, start to finish, and it was pretty obvious that the 18-year-old, 435,000-mile bushings were beyond their intended lifespan.

I rebuilt all the rear bushings with an energy suspension poly kit when I sent away me 3rd.

Mine didn’t have the miles, but had the same age. Well worth the few busted knuckles.

Good to see you’re still wracking up miles.

The truck definitely feels different after putting some miles on the new links.

Just trying to get my money’s worth out of it.
