Rear End -94 V6 Spooled 3rd to a 99 4 cyl 3rd-

I got a couple of questions regarding swapping rear ends.
My bro has a 94 4Runner v6 3rd with 4.10 gears and an unistalled Yukon full spool and my friend wants it in his 99 4 cyl Taco.
-Does the 4cyl housing have enough clearence for the v6 3rd?
-Can the v6 full spool fit the 4 banger 3rd?

i believe the non-TRD tacoma rear ends are the 8.4", so it will have more than enough room to fit 8" inners. 4 cylinder or V6 it doesnt matter, they are both the 8.4" unless it has the e-locker

But you won't be able to bolt it up. The bolt pattern is different (larger). The two diffs aren't interchangable.

Will the v6 spool bolt to the Taco ring gear?

Ok, next question I heard the E-locker will fit, so how is the 2nd gen 3rd not able to fit?

The E-locker 3rd member will not fit into the Taco axle housing. The Taco (non TRD) uses a similar axle housing to the T100's, the Tundra's and the Sequoia's (and i think the new 4Runner's) The third member's from any of these axle's will interchange because they are all the "8.4" diff. The 3rd Gen 4Runner's use the regular old V6 Turbo 8 inch rear diff. (don't know if the 4Cyl models use this diff). The electric locker 3rd is based off of the regular V6 turbo diff.
