Problem with A/C fan Switch

My AC fan switch has been working intermidiently. All of the positions work except for low. when I switch it to low, you can feel the ac working, but no air is actually coming out of the vents. Sometimes after using high positions, the low position will work. Most of the time the low position doesn't work. I have a 1996 so it is different from the 99 and up that have round knobs. I believe the whole climate control is manual. Does anyone have any suugestions? Thanks.

I had a similar problem in my other car. The fan would run when the switch was in "high" but not at all when in any other position. Now, it's a GM, so it might be different, but how I fixed it was a little resistor bank that provides the various speeds except high, which goes straight through. Unfortunately, this was a "dealer only" part, but it wasn't too expensive ($20 I think) and the installation was very easy.

Probably similar. If you have a Haynes/Chilton, look up in the HVAC section about the variable speed control.
