power steering fluid type in 22RE...

power steering fluid type in 22RE...

do we use ATF dexron/mecron as the power steering fluid? or power steering fluid type? i went to autozone and the dude there (he owns a bad ass MR2) said to use the ATF dexron as the power steering fluid.

should state it in your manual..... might also say it on the dipstick itself

I'm looking at my 87 Toyota owner's manual and it says"Dexron or Dexron II" for power steering fluid.

i looked at the reservoir, had to clean it off to read it, says to use dexron.
