Hi guys. Got in the truck tonight (2001 4 Runner Limited) and the Check Engine light, and VSC Off and VSC Trac lights all came on as soon as I started driving. Truck has 134K miles on it. I have a ScanGauge and checked for a code. The only code thrown was P1135. From what I can find using the search button, it looks like the problem is the A/F (oxygen) sensor. What I'm confused about is why the VSC lights are on. Is this typical? Is there anything else I need to look at?

EXACT Same thing happened to my 4runner yesterday. The only thing I can think to do is replace the front o2 sensor. Have you come up with any better ideas?

 

VSC and trac can be forced on by having a mod, it breaks the red wire going to the brake reservior... might be possible that something nicked some lines in your wiring harnesses and the codes being thrown are false. might just have some bad wiring. I'd start there.
