New Tires

Good morning guys! I am going to purchase new tires and rims for my stock 3rd gen 4 runner- I am thinking either the 31x10.5R16 M16's or the 30x11.5R15 Interco SX's. I am a little worried about clearance, although I have no problem taking a sawzaw to the bumper if they rub a bit. I am not commuting in this truck, and I had the SX's previously on my old 4x4 and I loved them, but that was a V8. What are your thoughts??

Thank you in advance!

TC

This has been discussed many times, but for stock suspension it all depends on the year as they put different front coils in for different years 1999 being the tallest front coils. Factory size is 265/70R16 which equates to 30.6" x 10.4" so you should be ok with 31x10.5-R16 but the same sized tire from 2 different companies will be different actual sizes, they all vary with tread depth side bitter ect.,. The width of the tire you can put under the truck will depend on your back spacing of the rim, if you go to wide you will rub the frame with the tire with the wheel cranked.
